Ballet

Ballet provides children with a strong foundation for most dance disciplines. It helps develop posture, muscle tone, flexibility, core strength and rhythm as well as offering discipline and focus.

We offer ballet classes for boys and girls from the age of 3+, classes are structured classes with their teacher and other children, parents remain on the premises in the waiting area. Our age is a guideline, once children are toilet trained and confident/mature enough to participate in a class without a parent/guardian we can look to invite them along.

Ballet Class Hierarchy
Classes:- Baby Ballet, Preparatory Ballet, Primary Ballet, Grade 1, Grade 2, Grade 3, Grade 4, Grade 5

Ballet Uniform
Children wear the IDTA regulation clothing.

Girls
Baby Ballet / Preparatory / Primary / Grade 1 - Black Leotard, Black circular skirt, pink socks (tights can be worn in colder months of the year but only socks for exams), pink leather ballet shoes, pink crossover to keep warm (not required in examination)
Grade 2 – Black Leotard, Black georgette skirt, pink tights, pink leather ballet shoes, pink crossover to keep warm (not required in examination)
Grade 3 – as grade 2, or split sole ballet shoes can be worn

Boys
Baby ballet / Preparatory / Primary - White leotard, Black tights or / Black shorts, white socks, black ballet shoes
Grade 1 + - no longer allowed shorts all wear tights
